scrapbook kisses tee

we had a flea market at scape last weekend. business was not really good, but we had a good time spending the weekend stress-free.  my hubby made two of these t-shirts for us to wear during our sales.  he added a red ribbon bow on mine...it's very sweet.

we are now hunting for another flea market to sell our scrapbook items.  and i decided to make more retro album coz all sold out like hot banana fritters last weekend...hehe

three teachers of my son had collected some donations for my family to see us through during our difficult time.

being bad with words, my only way to say 'thank you' is by scrapping these notebooks for them.  and tomorrow my son will pass them the books at his school's prom nite.  i hope they will like them.

our life is made up of many elements with different sizes and colours.
sometimes we need to move them around
to adjust them and fit them into different perspectives.

my hubby stripped my binding machine naked after a loud noise came from the machine and it immediately jammed, leaving me panic as i was suppose to have a flea market today. he found that the problem came when a spring on one of the levers snapped. after nearly 3 years, it's time to start hunting for a new one.

my sets of book covers, dividers and writing pages pending to be bound :(

project: mini album, 20cm x 20cm
contents: 8 sheets of 19cm x 19cm, 24 photo mats

my friend, kamsinah, has requested for a mini album as a gift to someone special. i put my 110% effort into this album, wanting to do only the best for her.

i find the end-result to be quite pretty different from my previous projects and i am so pleased with it. this project has helped to re-build my self-confidence and i have now decided to make a few more for my friends who have kindly helped my family during our difficult period. my target is to have all delivered by nov/dec this year.

above: i have applied this new technique for all separated photo-mats. this happened by accident actually. i wanted to punch a hole at the centre of top page but my poor judgment had made the hole punched a little bit to the left. i then decided to punch few more holes and played around with the ribbon, trying to tie the ribbon neatly. and as i cut the ribbon longer then i should, i later made a criss-cross and tied a bow at the last hole. nice?

above: my favourite two pages coz i love the colourful ladybugs. the page on the right is smaller in size as it is an envelope-page.

above: a clearer picture of the criss-cross ribbon
